About the Design

Pigeons deserve better than the negative reputation they still unjustifiably carry—a reputation that can cost them their lives. Very few people know that pigeons are abandoned pets that were bred by humans and then labeled a problem. Just think about that.

They’re considered dirty because they eat food scraps and trash. They only do this because they can’t find anything else. Of course, this food isn’t suitable for their species and makes them sick.

There are around 50,000 to 60,000 city pigeons living in Vienna. Cities urgently need to take responsibility. In my opinion, the bare minimum of responsibility is to have supervised pigeon lofts in every district, to care for the animals, and to provide sufficient species-appropriate food.

Every pigeon is an individual and has a right to protection and care—especially because humans bred them (this way).
