SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS AND WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

… “another year over, …” heading down the same old, unchanged, and undiscerning road again. Another 2.7 trillion innocent animals got murdered against their will in the past 365 days for human pleasures and convenience. We simply do not learn.

THROUGH THE EYES OF THE ANIMALS

Christmas time is anything else but joyful, peaceful, and full of love if you’re an animal, but full of brutality and suffering. If animals are not lucky enough to be born a dog or cat and if they’re not lucky enough to experience how it feels to be loved – purely, selflessly, and unconditionally loved by your caretaker – life is hell on Earth.

The chances you’re born into factory farming are 99.9% and chances are 0% you’re getting out alive or unharmed but scarred for your short life.

ABOUT LOVE, GRATITUDE, PEACE, AND SOLIDARITY

Christmas time, the time of love, gratitude, forgiveness, and reconciliation. An emotional, contemplative, wonderful, calm, and magical time for many humans (if not completely carried away by socially compelled materialism and culturally driven consumerism) and some rare non-humans in their forever-home, but pure hell for non-human animals labeled livestock and animals in the pet industry.

During the holiday season, billions of non-human animals – namely turkeys, chicken, fish, cows among many other beautiful species are slaughtered and their lives are being eaten away by humans not wasting any further thought on the fact that the ones they are putting into their mouths were once living beings with a will. Many more animal individuals are held hostage and exploited until they can’t anymore to forcefully breed new life into existence, who are awaiting their murder in the new year.

“Next year will be different; a better year for sure.” – Yeah, sure.

Christmas, just as most holidays nowadays, goes beyond religious beliefs. Most religiously inspired festivities are culturally conditioned and a tradition passed on for generations. Apart from religious beliefs Christmas, for example, is labeled as a “Celebration of Love”, peace, solidarity, and first and foremost gratitude of being together.

When we think of Christmas and other days of celebration, they have come so commercialized, that we forget the true meaning behind it. We have become so disconnected from WHO we consume. We never think about the suffering the animals have to endure.

A TABLE FROM HELL; A GRAVEYARD OF FORGOTTEN SOULS

What a hypocrisy and an inconsistency in the balance of human morals, ethics, and principles when we look at the animal corpses and secretions served on festive tables. What hypocrisy when gratitude of being alive should always be practiced by practicing “too live and let live”. Many preach this phrase to gain an understanding for their tolerance, not realizing that it is they who are intolerant of others, the lives of animals. They often do not understand the true meaning of this phrase (which is a conclusion of the Golden Rule), which goes far beyond any religious beliefs and views of compassion and beneficence, but the expected evolved nature of humanity. Instead, we kill; we let kill; we pay to be killed for us.

Killing for gratitude? What a strange attitude. A contradiction in terms. Pure evil in its execution.

When do we stop straining to find unnecessary, worthless, and valueless excuses and justifications and instead focus on our moral understanding and obligation, that is really important: justice and peace for all!

WE SHOULD GET IT BY NOW, SHOULDN’T WE?

We can’t expect good things to happen by causing bad to others. This is not how it works, and we are now getting the bill for it after so many warnings and predictions.

It is horrible to know that so many will end another year conditioned and brainwashed without even knowing how much suffering they're causing daily paying into a pandemic that will be our future if the problem is not tackled at the roots and drastic changes against animal exploitation start to happen systematically as well as individually.

EMPTY HOPES, PRAYERS, AND WISHES

People are hoping, wishing, and praying for “Peace on Earth”, to finally stop unnecessary (human) suffering and violence, but at the same time, 97% of the human population still participate in the most violent, gruesome, and unjust system on this planet: the mass murder of non-human animals.

What goes around comes around. That’s the “Law of Attraction”, and we are failing it until we wake up, get up, and be the change we want to see in this world. You better watch out for what you wish for and you better watch out for what you do! You are either part of the problem or part of the solution

We cannot ask for peace while choosing violence multiple times per day; every day. If we want peace, we must practice peace for justice for all.

It does not even take much kindness or compassion but just some basic fucking decency to leave the animals alone.

- The Veganitos

It is time to stop using Christmas and other holidays and (festive) occasions to murder animals. We can’t expect to have our “lives back” while still taking the lives of others. This is not how it works, this is how it all fails. Until all of us are gone.

VEGAN CHRISTMAS

Check-in with yourself, reflect and ask yourself WHO you truly are and if your actions reflect your morals.

Go to the internet (the tool you’re using every single day) and look up fully plant-based recipes and create any taste you want to practice the true meaning of gratitude, love, and peace- over a peaceful table. You can still have your traditions. Have your own, evolve them, make new ones; better ones; just and kind ones.

I personally, and Kevin too, practice “The Liberation Pledge”, which means we are refusing to sit at a table where animal bodies and/or their secretions are consumed. There are many reasons for it, but the most obvious one is that we wouldn’t sit at a table where dogs or cats are consumed, so why sit at a table where other species are consumed who had the same will to live? We cannot celebrate love, togetherness, and gratitude by accepting violence around us; that is why we chose to decide to do it.

I got interviewed by Vegan Pixie Warrior about "The Liberation Pledge"

… AND ONE LAST QUESTION

If eating animals was a personal choice, why would you personally choose to kill others for a short taste pleasure? Do you think and feel that your taste is more important than their lives?
