I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYES …

I spy with my little eyes a world you could and never would have imagined existed.

A world that gets overshadowed by a hypocritical belief system, lies, and a cotton-candied imagination and staged reality of how our lives should look like, how we are supposed to feel, act and react towards animals. A world that has detached us from empathy, our intuition, and our true self.

“So far all good”, because we are the product of an exploitative system and we are playing along just fine to keep it unknowingly and unconsciously alive by not being aware of our actions’ consequences.

A HOUSE OF CARDS

Breaking society’s standards, beliefs, and attitudes about the value of life in terms of species was just the beginning of understanding how the oppression of titled “inferior life forms” works and is so deeply rooted in us through false beliefs passed down from generation to generation to sustain the system.

By pulling the card at the very bottom of a house of cards, was what got me to see what this world truly means for others but myself and those around me. The more deeply we deal with the topics of animal husbandry, confinement, animal use, abuse, exploitation, and murder, the more the wall of a house that we have built for ourselves with the helping hand of the system begins to break down.

Tear down the house of horrors, take a good look at what you’re left with and take action to create a meaningful change. Take and use what you have realized and create a new foundation to build a house that practices justice, peace, freedom, love and equality for all earthlings.

… and don’t forget to plant a beautiful garden.

We have to decide what house we want to build. Do we want to keep on building up the wall of ignorance even higher, to false-believingly save ourselves from pain, trauma, and unpleasant feelings when we are confronted with the reality of which we are a co-creator, or if we want to tear it all down, take moral responsibility and obligation to start out building up to something new that’s in alignment with our inner, pure and true beliefs coming from a just, kind, compassionate and loving place.

IT HURTS AND IT NEEDS TO HURT

Finding out the truth about what is done to animals hurts and it’s an unpleasant realization. We need to have this realization and feelings of shock, guilt, shame, pain, frustration, anger and fear to start walking a different path to stop participating in this injustice.

It is not about drowning in these negative, heavy feelings and simply doing what we are used to, but what we do with them once we are aware of how this world is uncensored and unpolished.

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

- Albert Einstein

USE YOUR FEELINGS TO CREATE CHANGE

Figure out WHY you are feeling those feelings if you are seeing animals suffer and getting killed. Ask yourself why it is wrong to love some species and kill others? And don’t just say “well, some are livestock and others are pets or wildlife”. This is what society tells you to think and to categorize them in to justify needless murder. Rather ask yourself what characteristics some have that others don’t that it makes some worthy of life and others not?

When we look at the characteristics that are decisive and that connect us, we all strive for the same thing: we want to live. We want to live well and in peace without pain and agony.

Why do we devalue others to enforce what we think or better said are taught to do, what is normal, natural, and necessary? Start to understand the way your brain is getting programmed and reprogram it.

WE ARE SMARTER THAN WE THINK, AND WE HAVE MORE HEART THAN WE GET CREDIT FOR BY SOCIETY

We need to let go of what society thinks is the right thing to do when it comes to animal use, but put our perception of facts into focus, pick them apart by putting ourselves into the position of the animal and ask ourselves: If this was me, in their position, would I approve of what is done to me?

Nobody with a right mind would approve of, not one single bit, what is being done to non-human animals, for food, for clothing, cosmetics, entertainment, etc. Nobody with self-worth would even stand to think about having to switch places with them, not for one day.

Because even the cows you see on meadows and the chicken in the backyard are victims of an oppressive and exploitative system that is keeping them hostage to use them and to create benefits from their existence. They are prisoners who are not seen for WHO they are and they won’t get out of it alive. It is up to you if you are in support of this or if you go against it.

As humans, our intelligence can either be freeing or making us a puppet to society and the system to benefit some. Break that vicious cycle, follow your intuition and strive for a better, more empathetic, and just world for all earthlings.

HAVE THE COURAGE TO BE DISLIKED

Work on yourself, look on the inside. There and nowhere else you will find the answers of who you are at the moment and who you wish and imagine to be. Do your actions reflect your values when it comes to animals? Remember: You are your actions. You are responsible for them.

Have the courage to stand up, stand out, speak up, and to take action! It is the most powerful tool you have. Make a difference by going vegan and educating others why this is the least we can do.

Risk being disliked, to stand up and speak up for what you know is the right thing to do. It is not an opinion, nor a choice, it is an inherent birthright to live in peace and be left alone. This concerns you and every other sentient being, doesn’t it?

I spy with my little eyes, a world that needs to strive and fight for equality and justice for all. What do you spy? Or do you remain to keep those blindfolds on?
