THE MANIPULATION OF “WORLD EGG DAY”

Today is World Egg Day, a day that is used to manipulate people into the consumption of someone else’s bodily secretions. Yet many people aren’t aware of what an egg is and don’t even know how eggs are created and develop within a chicken’s body.⁣

Stimulated by daylight, a hormone signal is sent out and egg production begins. Within the chicken's ovary, the egg forms and first grows into a yolk ball, which later becomes the yolk. The yolk cell further enters the oviduct and may be fertilized. Then the egg white and shell are formed. In the end, it passes through the cloaca to the outside. The cloaca is the hole for everything: urine, feces, and egg.⁣

Eggs are not food, they are essential secretions of a chicken’s body that belong to the chicken herself. When humans steal away her eggs, they steal away her baby (when fertilized) or her essential nutritious food source (when unfertilized).⁣

The egg industry is a horrible and truly cruel industry, using methods such as beak trimming and miserable “living” conditions. It uses and abuses females to breed until total bodily and mental exhaustion and murders males on their first day of life by shredding, suffocating, or drowning them while still alive because they are useless to the process of egg production.⁣

But what about backyard eggs?⁣
The objectification and exploitation of hens for their bodies and bodily secretions is what gave rise to factory farming in the first place, as people realized the profit of the breeding frenzy. Therefore, backyard eggs are the forerunner of all evil if you look at it closely and state it clearly. Also, most backyard hens and roosters are purchased from breeders, which pays directly into the commercialization and exploitation of these animals.⁣

People forget that these individuals are sentient beings too who must also have rights of liberation and integrity. Stealing eggs from chickens in your backyard is still stealing, and you are depriving the chickens of their property and see them as commodities.⁣

Avoid eggs forever and choose animal-free products instead. Use “Kala Namak Salt”, a sulfuric salt that smells and tastes like eggs, for savory dishes and binding plant foods like aquafaba (water of chickpeas in a can/glass), apple sauce, silken tofu, mineral water, and many more for sweet treats.
