NON-ANIMAL TESTING METHODS
Non-animal testing methods are already here, and they are effective, highly transferable to humans, and even cheaper when properly implemented. Why are tests on and experiments with animals still practiced?

First of all, old habits die hard. All different industries including government research facilities have been relying on cruel and unsafe animal testing in the past.
It all starts with studies, which teach future professionals in different areas that animal tests are necessary, reliable, and the only truth. This lie costs more than 115 million animals their only lives and contains very important information for students to follow a non-animal and ethical scientific path.
One of the biggest obstacles to non-animal methods not being used more often is that the government does not provide enough funding to expand and increase the use of non-animal tests. They are not financially supported to an extent that would allow them to replace animal testing—even though they easily could.
Cage manufacturers, breeders as well as universities, contract laboratories, experimenters, and the pharmaceutical industry benefit from animal testing. A powerful system of oppression and exploitation is present here.
Furthermore, the industry persists in animal testing for other reasons, namely to give consumers, who are mostly unaware of the consequences of their buying choices, a sense of security and confidence in new chemical and pharmaceutical products. Animal testing, therefore, has an alibi function and pretends harmlessness, which is not given.
Politics and the media are also permeated by this web. They often report uncritically on animal experiments because they are dependent on the industry’s adverts.
Why do other animals have to serve with their lives to keep our species healthy or to produce various commodities that our species uses? Their lives matter to them, just like our lives matter to us.
There are enough animal-free methods already available! Let’s make use of them!
