FUR IN HISTORY
About 170,000 years ago, humans began to make clothing out of animal skins and furs. Furs were important in prehistoric times and up to a certain point in history because there were not enough resources in winter to protect themselves from harsh winds and icy weather conditions. Nowadays it is no longer necessary or tolerated, but an ugly statement for the acceptance and promotion of animal cruelty and human ignorance!
As early as the 11th century, fur was worn as a symbol of wealth and social status, and not just to keep warm—unfortunately, and completely incomprehensibly, this is still the case today. This needs to change immediately!
Over 100 million innocent animals are bred, held, farmed, and killed annually for fur production under incredibly cruel conditions to serve people’s avarice, greed, and ego.
Fur has long been frowned upon for the obvious and well-known reasons for animal cruelty, exploitation, and discrimination against non-human animals.
This industry must be put to an end. Buying fur, wearing fur, and thereby supporting the murder of animals is apathetic, selfish, and highly reprehensible.
In my latest blog post, I cover the cruel and torturous practices of the fur industry in detail and explain the means fur farmers use to manipulate people into seeing fur as a positive and aspirational piece of clothing.
