BLANK STARES
These are the eyes of victims full of fear and pain.
When I look at this photo it automatically brings me back right to that very moment, looking into their deeply sad eyes.
And if I wish to write more words because I could, I will stop right here because, to be honest … there is nothing more to say. Only looks. Only feelings. Just you and me.
At that moment, the heaviness of the world crushed me with its unbearability.
Look at the photo and ask yourself: how must THEY have felt?
This photo was taken at a vigil at a small local Austrian slaughterhouse by @rauschbild_. These individuals were only minutes away from their murder. They dwelled in confinement, in darkness, and in the cold while they heard their peers scream for their lives in the corridor that was right beside this concrete enclosure.
