YOU MAY UNKNOWINGLY SUPPORT ANIMAL CRUELTY WITH TATTOOS
Who would think that there are animal exploitation and murder hidden in tattoo equipment and materials? Not many of us until we are made aware of it.
It no longer surprises me that we find animal ingredients in almost everything these days. Animal exploitation, animal suffering, abuse, and murder are all around us and in almost everything we use every day if we don’t question it and choose vegan products instead.
What shocks me the most is that we are so strongly conditioned to support animal suffering and to accept it as normal, natural and necessary, and above all inevitable. However, this is far from the actual reality and could not be further from the truth. We can determine and we can act.
When it comes to getting tattoos there are a couple of things we need to watch out for, which we can simply make artists aware of and ask for vegan (cruelty-free, animal test-free, and without the use of animal ingredients) working materials. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. As consumers/clients, we must take this issue seriously and communicate it, as must artists. We must work together to eliminate all oppression and suffering inflicted on others in all walks of life. We need to start doing this in our communities and implement it in our professions.
