SANCTUARY ENAMEL MUGS #2

The mugs with Kazik and Marcin are here!! ⁣

Five months ago Kurza Lapka Azyl released their first enamel mugs with Rafal (the first fosterling), Tosia and Jarek (two super cute ducks), which I got asked to illustrate. I couldn't have imagined a more fitting and fulfilling project, putting the fosterlings into the spotlight, telling their stories, and supporting the sanctuary this way. ⁣

The most recent mugs show Kazik, the roster with the twisted body, whose story you might already know from previous posts in April, and Marcin the rooster in a wheelchair that activists built for him. ⁣

Kazik was in the egg for too long, and in the last crucial moments before hatching, he was taken away from his mother, moved, and turned. That is why he was born with a twisted body. His head is curled up on the left side as if he was trying to fit the shape of the egg he grew in. Because of his condition, he has difficulty walking and is unable to eat or drink on his own. Kazik must be under constant watch and care.⁣

Marcin was one of the 5 broiler chickens who got rescued at the very beginning of Kurza Lapka Azyl. He is one of the reasons the activists wanted to open the sanctuary. Marcin is a 2-year-old broiler now and unfortunately, he struggles a lot with his bones and weight. Because of this, he is getting special treatment of therapy, physiotherapy, and regular vet checks. With his wheelchair activists do exercises with him and massage his legs and stretch his toes. They do anything to make him feel better and to treat what the industry has done to Marcin mentally and physically.⁣

Unfortunately, their fates are not uncommon, and most of their brothers and sisters share and perish from this incomprehensible suffering and pain.⁣

The stories of Kazik and Marcin are touching. Both were lucky enough to be rescued but suffer from the scars inflicted by the exploitative system for which people continue to pay.⁣

The only way to stop this is to go vegan and encourage others to do the same.⁣

If you want to support Kurza Lapka Azyl in their great work for the animals, buy a mug (via msg on Instagram), tell the story of the fosterlings, or support them financially! 🐔💚

You can also help them by sharing the post about the enamel mugs posted on their profile! Give their platform and work attention to help them grow their caring community.⁣

THANK YOU ALL! <3⁣
