SANCTUARY ENAMEL MUGS
I am so very excited to show you one of the most wonderful projects I was asked to work on with Kurza Lapka Azyl , a vegan sanctuary in Poland. They asked me if I wanted to illustrate 3 of their residents to be printed on two different enamel mugs.
You may remember Tosia and Jarek from a couple of posts back, where I told you their story. Both were rescued from a farm where they once had to live in a dark, incredibly noisy, and filthy hall among others of their kind. They were destined to be murdered for their flesh but were lucky to be liberated by activists.
Rafa, the rescued chicken with the foot disability you see on one of the mugs, was the reason why Kurza Lapka Azyl was founded in the first place. Unfortunately, Rafa passed away a few months ago, but he will always be remembered dearly. He has lived the best life at the sanctuary, surrounded by others who loved and respected him. By others who have seen him for whom he is, what his needs are, and did everything to give him the happy life he was always supposed to have.
The sanctuary does everything it can to give other animals a proper home, the care, respect, and love they deserve. They work really hard to keep the animals home and I can't say it loud enough and ask for your support online as well as financially if you can. A few Euros, Dollars, Złoty or whatever currency there is where you are will help them a lot to sustain the animals’ home, feed them and help others in the future.
In times like these, animal sanctuaries are often forgotten, but they need our help too!
