DON’T BUY FROM BREEDERS
A very common but even so socially accepted form of animal exploitation is breeding “pet” animals (preferred: companions). Only a few people are truly aware of what the pet breeding industry is really about.
Many believe when dogs or cats or any kind of animal are bred into existence they are doing something good and necessary. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Breeding animals into existence is living off of forcefully impregnating female beings, have them give birth so their babies can then be sold! Let that sink in for a moment …
... we use and impregnate those we claim to love and care for so that we can sell their children to others.
How would You feel if this was done to you?
”We are sustaining a certain breed from getting extinct” is what I have heard someone say before. This is no reason to breed more lives into existence, using them as a profit machine while there are millions of animals in shelters waiting for a loving home.
Know that breeding new lives into existence means abandonment and a death sentence to those already living.
”Breeders aren’t in it for the money”, let me say one thing loud and clear:
BREEDING ANIMALS IS A BUSINESS CONCEPT!
Anything else stated is a blatant lie and pure ignorance. If people tell you that they do it because they care and that they take on exhausting pooping and feeding lists and make you believe “this is hard work but it’s okay because they care”, they are simply saying that they care about the money, their financial benefit they will have in the end.
While people explained to me how they had to help with the mating process and are eagerly waiting for the results this doesn’t sound like this is all too natural and right if they—and I quote again “need to check if they are connected and help them get in the right position.”
But most of all, if you tell people that it’s unethical they simply don’t want to hear it, because they know it’s not right. But they also know they make good money with it.
Don’t buy from breeders. Choose to adopt if you are ready to take on the responsibility to care for another life with all your heart and time!
