WHAT ARE YOUR ETHICAL STANDARDS?

We work hard to ensure that the products we offer are fair to all. That’s why we work with Fair Wear Foundation approved brands and Peta-approved vegan brands (if third party brands have the certification). You can read more on our Ethics page or check the info on each item to see what certifications it carries. We only use materials that are vegan; meaning not tested on animals and not including animal-derived sources.

HOW DO YOU WRAP AND SHIP THE ITEMS?

All our products are shipped in recycled or recyclable materials, no plastic! If however, we should use plastic with your order you can be sure that we will only use up leftovers from more unconscious (not-yet-vegan) times, but are working towards a fully eco-conscious, recycled and sustainable plastic-free packaging.

We use recycled paper envelopes or reuse cardboard boxes to send out your order. We don't wrap our clothes in plastic.

DO YOU DONATE TO ANY SANCTUARIES OR ANIMAL RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS?

Currently, we do not donate a percentage of our profit to sanctuaries or animal rights organizations. However, since we are both very vocal and active in animal rights and liberation activism, all profits support our extensive activities to the extent it is at now and ensures that RULE OF NINES is constantly growing and bringing out new and exciting custom designs apart from the free content we provide on Kerstin’s Instagram page and website blog.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU RESTOCK?

We are very conscious of the items that we purchase to avoid any leftovers sitting on shelves for a very long time taking up space and unnecessary resources. Although we are always trying to keep consistent stock levels popular products sell out quicker than others! For environmental and sustainability reasons we always try to order in bulk, therefore it might take a bit longer until we can restock certain items. Thanks for your understanding.

Cleaning & Care Instructions

 

AT WHAT DEGREES CAN I WASH THE CLOTHES?

We recommend washing your garment at 30° C using vegan washing powder/detergent or a laundry ball and no fabric softener. This is better for the environment and your clothes.

Please note that many detergents and especially fabric softeners are often not vegan (made from slaughterhouse waste & do animal tests) and can be very harmful to the environment as they may release microplastics (through the softener and through synthetic fibers of clothing) into the groundwater.

WHAT IF THE PATCH WRINKLES OR BULGES A BIT AFTER WASHING?

It is totally normal that the patch may wrinkle or bulge a bit shortly after washing, even when the shirt seems to be already dry. Our patches are made with multiple layers of vegan threads and therefore may take a bit longer to get completely dry. When dry they will flatten out. To get them completely flat again you can iron over them by putting a piece of fabric in between the patch and the hot iron.

TIPS FOR LONG-LASTING VIBRANT COLORS AND GARMENTS

If you want your clothes, embroideries, and prints to last, we recommend washing them inside out at the recommended temperature of 30° C.

Furthermore, avoid hanging your garment in the blazing sun to dry. This could fade the color and cause streaking and pale colors.


Packaging & Delivery

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR AN ORDER TO BE DELIVERED?

Delivery will vary based on location and shipping choice. We put your order together within 1-3 working days. Most Austrian orders arrive in 2-3 working days and standard International 9-15 working days. Please note, that delivery times may vary during lockdowns, holidays or if you place your order at weekends.

Please also understand, that we cannot provide an on-day delivery. We are a small business working on-demand. We have hand-made pieces and they take time.

Once your package is posted at the post office, we have no direct influence on the time of delivery. We always do our very best to ensure that your package arrives on time or within a suitable time frame. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

WHAT CAN I DO IF MY ORDER HASN’T ARRIVED YET?

Check your emails for a shipping confirmation. From the shipping date, it usually takes 3-15 days (depending on your location) for the package to arrive.

If it has not arrived after 15 working days, please contact us immediately on Instagram or via mail and we will do our best to solve the problem. However, please note that most of the time we do not have more information about shipping than you do.

Please note we don’t have any more tracking info than that provided in your email.

WHAT IF I DIDN’T LIST THE RIGHT ADDRESS WITH MY ORDER?

If your address is wrong and you find out before shipping, we can of course change it.

If your package comes back to us because you have given the address incorrectly or incompletely, we can unfortunately not take over further shipping costs.

If your order is returned to us, you have the option to resend your order. Before that, we will check your address again to be sure. We can not take over the new shipping costs if the error is with you. We can share the shipping costs if the error is with the post office.

We will of course carry the shipping costs if the error is with us.


Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

 

HOW CAN I RETURN MY ORDER?

If you’d like to return your order, please send us an email stating the order number provided in the mail sent to you and let us know your reason for the return.

Only non-worn and not yet washed textile items can be returned. The goods must be complete and without any damage or stains.

Please note and understand that buttons, patches, pins, stickers, and any other exclusive items or items on sale can’t be returned.

WHO PAYS THE SHIPPING COSTS?

The return/exchange shipping costs need to be paid by the customer. Return/exchange rates are not included in any of our prizes.

If possible, please use the package/envelope we used to send the order to you. This saves unnecessary wrapping costs and material.

HOW CAN I EXCHANGE MY ORDER?

If you’d like to return your order, please send us an email stating the order number provided in the mail sent to you and let us know your reason for the exchange.

Only non-worn and not yet washed textile items can be exchanged. The goods must be complete and without any damage or stains.

Please note that we don't accept exchanges over 30 days (from the day the order has been sent out).
