HOW MANY FUR FARMS ARE THERE IN THE WORLD?

According to online sources endorsing fur farms, there are more than 5,000 farms in 22 European countries. That's 50% of the global market, which puts the number of fur farms worldwide over 10,000, where innocent sentient non-human animals are bred, tortured, and murdered for their skin and hair.⁣

For several years now, Poland, Denmark, and China have been the three countries that kill the largest number of animals bred for furs, such as minks, foxes, and raccoon dogs.”⁣

Fur is brutally stripped off the body from both farmed and wildlife species (trapped and killed). 85% of the global fur trade comes from farmed animals that have been domesticated by confining them and killing them.⁣

Fur farms are prisons and (literally and visually) death camps. They have one goal and it is to kill for profits.⁣

PETA states:⁣
“Rows of cages are often housed in giant, dark, filthy sheds or barns where the ammonia from the animals’ accumulated urine and feces burns their eyes and lungs, or they may simply be lined up outdoors, where animals have no protection from bone-chilling cold, driving rain, or sweltering heat. Parasites and disease run rampant on fur farms, making these animals’ already miserable lives even more unbearable. Animals on fur factory farms are fed meat byproducts considered unfit for human consumption.”⁣

Fur farms and fur producers often promote this type of feeding in a favorable light, falsely calling it sustainable, natural, and resource-saving for their benefit and to shape their image.⁣

These death farms are hell on Earth for sentient individuals who fall victim to this industry. Farms are also the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. They are ticking time bombs for the next pandemic or to fuel mutations of the existing one. ⁣
