ANIMALS & WHEELCHAIRS | FUNDRAISER
In the photo, you can see 🦆 Marcelinki in her wheelchair, which she needed urgently because of her broken leg. Due to the constant lying down, Marcelinki's leg began to get sore and kept her from going near water or food bowls, requiring constant human attention to meet her basic needs. Her physical restriction also hindered her to waddle around with her duck and turkey friends at the shelter @kurzalapka_azyl
You can see how important wheelchairs are for non-human animals with disabilities as well. They can truly change their lives a lot and give them the opportunity for physical and mental healing.
The materials for these types of wheelchairs can get quite expensive, especially if more than one wheelchair is needed. In most cases, there is not a “one type fits all,” but rather the chairs are customized to the specific needs of the individual and the particular wheelchair design must be adapted.
The sanctuary is home to five ducks who have problems walking and therefore need a wheelchair. 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 The cost of such a carrier is approximately 100 €, including transport. 💶 With the current fundraiser, we can help the sanctuary and its fosterlings to get all they need to build a wheelchair for everyone. Anything over the set goal of 900 € will help even more!
