FEAR AND HOW IT AFFECTS ANIMALS

Fear. Everyone is afraid of something. It is a natural indicator, a powerful and primitive human emotion, and a basic sense of reliance for survival. But fear can be used against us to manipulate us doing horrendous things to animals we would never agree with and never support. So we need to take a closer look at what fear is and whether it comes from our inner feelings or whether someone is pulling the strings.

This blog post deals with the topic of fear and the cruel consequences for animals if we do not face it to act out of empathy and values.

WHAT IS FEAR AND WHY DO WE FEEL IT?

Fear is the strongest emotion we can feel, not only because what fear and anxiety can do to us in a certain moment, but also how much it influences us in our behavior and how strongly it guides our established beliefs.

Fear by definition means “an unpleasant emotion or thought that you have when you are frightened or worried by something dangerous, painful, or bad that is happening or might happen”.

If we look closely at fear and anxiety, we realize that they are natural reactions of our body and mind and they serve to protect us from danger in unknown, unpleasant, and potentially dangerous situations.

Nowadays, instead of working to help us survive, fear has evolved to keep us from thriving as the most common fears we have are being used against us to control our behavior. And it works just fine because everything that causes fear and uncertainty most of us tries to get rid of. So if a lifestyle that goes against the norm is promoted as dangerous, scary, unhealthy, and strange, people will always try to block it out.

FEAR CAN HELP US GROW

Fear teaches us a lot about ourselves. Breaking through the unnatural fear created by our society helps us to get more in connection with our self. It breaks through a wall that has been built up to keep us from aligning our actions with our morals - to stop killing animals, which is fearful and causes pain and suffering.

We are all aware of our comfort zone and we know how scary it first feels when we get out of it and extend it once more.

The decision to do something that the majority of the human species does not do can be associated with an insecure, even frightening feeling, because it is not socially accepted and it's not appreciated by society to swim against the current, to be different and pointing out wrong-doings.

When you go against what is called “the norm”, you scratch the surface of what is not appreciated to be discovered, and you point out the violence against animals that exists today. This suddenly confronts people with cruel facts and they have to become aware of their views on life in general and on animals in particular and are confronted with them. This creates fear and frustration in many people, as they have never been taught to think this way.

The perception and realization that their actions speak against their real values create an imbalance and discomfort in them and all kinds of emotions are released. What people need to see is that there is an answer, a strong way of growth in this process. If they realize it, they will grow.

FEAR IS USED TO MANIPULATE US TO ACT AGAINST OUR INTUITION AND VALUES

Creating fear to negatively manipulate people is also a form of oppression because it makes use of mostly unconscious and uncontrolled basic instincts turning them into a tool of controlling someone’s mind to act against their other natural instincts and values.

In connection with animal consumption, it makes people second-degree murderers. A false belief or nescience makes them animal abusers because they are paying for the animals to get murdered on their behalf.

When it comes to the degradation, discrimination, exploitation, and killing of animals, and the normalization of violence against others to make as much profit as possible over the bodies and secretions of animals, the animal industry knows no limits to manipulate people with their fears.

MYTHS CREATE UNCERTAINTY, UNCERTAINTY CREATES FEAR

Myths based on fear are created to prevent people from rethinking and embracing change. The myths the animal agriculture industry uses are not about telling the truth, but about creating insecurity and uncertainty so that fear eats into people’s minds to control their actions. The myths of a plant-based diet and the ‘humane’ killing (oximoron) of animals exist to control people into doing what they have always done without questioning their ethics and their values. Myths exist to keep people in the dark. Myths exist to control through fear.

Suffering and failure come to those who fear it.

FEAR-BASED EMOTIONS AND WHAT TO DO WITH THEM

If fear-based emotions, just as fear, anger, grief, shame, guilt, bitterness, judgment, jealously, frustration, doubt, and insecurity arise, they want to tell us something about the situation. The question is: What does it tell you? What will you do?

By ignoring information, facts can disappear temporarily but not permanently. The only way to fight these emotions is to acknowledge them and change of your own free will and actively work on them, guided by your moral compass and ethical principles, not by your fear. Confront and resolve your fear-based emotions, don’t put them off.

FEAR AND ITS RESULTING EMPATHETIC RESPONSES ARE WHAT MAKE US A BETTER VERSION OF OURSELVES

The better we are at reading and understanding fear in ourselves and others, the more empathetically we respond. The more we face your fears, feel our fears, and know the oppressive feeling of fear, the better we can perceive, understand, and react by taking conscious actions when someone else is under fear.

The better we understand that this fear and suffering of others are initiated by us we are more likely to make the connection that we are also the ones who can stop this from happening to them and that it is our moral obligation to do so.

DON’T MAKE YOUR BODY A GRAVEYARD

When you eat meat, you consume the fear and the anxiety of animals that they experienced before they got killed against their will. Their bodies and secretions are not food, they are forcefully made into products getting sold to manipulated and conditioned humans by selling them nothing but fairy tales and lies.

BE FEARLESS

Be fearless and choose your ethics instead of supporting a system that manipulated you, lied to you, and conditioned you to think that killing animals is necessary, natural, and normal.

Leave your fear behind and follow your heart, think about what is justice for you. Do your research or read other posts here which will challenge your beliefs but can bring about a change that is life-changing for animals and you.

Be brave enough to say “Enough already, enough of the violence. Enough of the murder”. Stop being sorry and start doing something. If you want a change for the animals, you need to change yourself first and be a voice for them.
